This year, Elephants Alive celebrated 6 years of running our bees and trees research project in Jejane Private Nature Reserve. The research has shown that 82% of the marula trees with beehives are still alive, in comparison to 56% of the control trees. We have also never had a marula tree with an active beehive pushed over by an elephant.
