There’s a new twist to a familiar scam being reported in King County. The scam of calling someone and claiming that their loved one was kidnapped to extort money has been going on for years, but now Artificial Intelligence (AI) is making these calls much more real to victims. The scammers are now using AI to clone the voice of the loved one who's supposedly been kidnapped.
