As a late diagnosed autistic adult, I can look back on my life and understand that so many allistics were using passive aggressive or non-direct communication, which I never understood. Whenever I wanted something, I just bluntly asked for it with direct communication and I assumed everybody else this way, too. But now I know this is not the case, and I can understand why I was perceived as rude or selfish so much of the time. Everything makes so much more sense now. We are wired so differently!
