"Elmo's X account was briefly compromised yesterday by an unknown hacker who posted disgusting messages, including antisemitic and racist posts. The account has since been secured," a spokesperson for Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit educational organization behind Sesame Street, said in a statement to ABC News on Monday.

Quite simply, there had never been anything like that before, and nothing would be the same ever again.
Elmo’s X account was hacked, sending out a shocking string of racist, antisemitic and derogatory posts. A Sesame Workshop spokesperson called the messages “disgusting,” and added that they are working to restore control of the account.
