The death toll from the devastating floods that swept through Kerr County early Friday stands at 107 , officials said Tuesday.

At least 161 are still unaccounted for after the July Fourth floods that saw the waters of the Guadalupe rise to historic levels in Central Texas, officials with Kerr County said Friday. Authorities have confirmed 103 deaths, 36 of whom are children.

Crews have searched “from the headwaters of the Guadalupe River to Canyon Lake and back,” and continue the “intensive search operations.”

For the first time since the deadly July Fourth flooding in the Texas Hill Country, Kerr County has no flood advisories or rain in the forecast, allowing search crews to continue their work looking for the bodies of 97 missing people.
