Apple has recently begun notifying users about a crucial change that will occur next month, December.  The iPhone company is dropping the hammer on users running iOS 8 or older, letting them know that their iCloud backups will stop working or may even be deleted,

People with devices running older iOS' will need to update the operating system or find another way to back up their iPhones.

Owners of iPhones running on iOS 8 and earlier will soon lose the ability to use iCloud device backups, unless they update to iOS 9 or later.

Apple has admitted that the Notes app can cause problems in connection with iCloud. The company will also be stricter with backups in future.

Apple will end iCloud backup support in December. Don’t wait until it’s too late; update your device or switch to local backups to keep your data safe.

In a support document, Apple says it’s ending support for Safari bookmark syncing on iOS 10 and earlier. Starting December 18, devices will require iOS 11 or later, iPadOS 11 or later, and macOS Sierra 10.

Apple has announced that as of next month, backing up your iPhone or iPad to iCloud will require that the device is running iOS 9 or later.
