"Golden Valley, Crystal, and New Hope issued a boil water order for all water users until further notice," the alert reads.

A boil water advisory remains in effect for three Twin Cities communities Monday after having their water services disrupted Sunday morning due to a valve malfunction.

The City of New Hope said in a Facebook post that the issue stems from a malfunctioning valve in the Golden Valley water tower.

Residents are asked to not drink tap water unless it has been boiled for at least one minute while the advisory is in place.
