The organizations working together to help the flood victims said that 'no additional in-kind donations (clothing, food, supplies) are needed in Kerrville.' They said the best way to help is with monetary donations.

The AquaEye device is currently being used in recovery operations in Kerr County. “It will scan the area of a football field in a minute and pinpoint the location of a victim,” said Loncaric. Loncaric says she created the device back in 2020 to help lifeguards and camps locate drowning victims.

"Due to the incoming threatening weather, all volunteers should vacate the river area, and MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND for their safety," Kerr County said on Facebook. "Only teams working under the direction of Kerr County Emergency Operations Center Unified Command are permitted in the response zone."

Local businesses and vacationers are picking up the pieces after devastating flooding along the Guadalupe River in Kerrville.

Before hundreds of first responders and volunteers from around the country came to help, it was the local residents of Texas Hill Country who faced down a deadly wall of water along the Gaudalope River and witnessed terrifying scenes.

Heather Barrera, 37, and her husband drove a U-Haul truck down from Houston packed with water bottles and supplies for flood victims. She handed them off to a wine bar in downtown Kerrville that has been collecting and distributing donations. The couple stopped by the memorial before getting back on the road to head home.

Walston drove from his home to the Center Point Bridge on FM 480 near Highway 27, where he shot video of the river below. He recorded nearly 38 minutes of surging water as it rose over 20 feet, carrying massive cypress trees, debris and even a house.

Search crews continued the grueling task of recovering the missing as more potential flash flooding threatened Texas Hill Country.
