Chris Sale has been named an All-Star for the second straight year. This is quite the accomplishment for the 36-year old who hadn't been an All-Star since 2018 and missed the entirety of the 2020 season after having Tommy John surgery.

Three Braves — Ronald Acuña Jr., Matt Olson, and Chris Sale — were named to the 2024 MLB All-Star roster. Chris Sale was selected but will not pitch due to a rib injury sustained last month. Matt Olson called it a "full circle moment" to play his first All-Star Game in his hometown of Atlanta.

Twenty-five years after attending All-Star Game festivities with his parents at Turner Field, suburban Atlanta native Matt Olson will proudly experience the thrill of being an All-Star in his hometown.
