Although it seems highly unlikely that the Atlanta Braves will trade injured starting pitcher Chris Sale at the deadline, one MLB insider is not ruling out the possibility of it happening entirely. Here is what needs to go down for Sale to leave Atlanta.
Chris Sale has been named an All-Star for the second straight year. This is quite the accomplishment for the 36-year old who hadn't been an All-Star since 2018 and missed the entirety of the 2020 season after having Tommy John surgery.
With the Braves trading for Hunter Stratton, they moved Chris Sale to the 60-day injured list to make room on the 40-man roster.
