Prince George and Princess Charlotte made a surprise appearance at Wimbledon alongside their parents, Prince William and Princess Kate, to watch the final match of the tournament.

Princess of Wales Kate Middleton returned to Wimbledon and attended the women's singles final on the Central Court of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, of which she is a long-time patron.

Princess Kate attended the men's final at Wimbledon together with Prince William and their two older children. The whole family appeared color-coordinated in blue.

As many spectators watching from home clocked, however, doing so saw Kate break a major Wimbledon rule, in that hats are reportedly forbidden in the stands. The dress code for the annual sporting tournament is stated clearly on its official website.
