Before he ever played an NBA minute, Flagg was already being compared to Garnett. According to a scouting report from Bleacher Report leading up to the draft, Flagg possesses the size, athleticism and all-around game to potentially mirror Garnett’s impact.

With Flagg shut down for the summer, Ryan Nembhard and other Mavericks players got extended on-court looks Monday.

At Duke, Flagg averaged 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.2 assists and earned ACC Player of the Year honors while leading the Blue Devils to the Final Four. He also won the Wooden and Naismith Player of the Year awards and was an All-American.
