Air India has announced a phased resumption of its international operations following a "Safety Pause" implemented after the tragic crash of flight AI171 on June 12, reported news agency ANI. The airline had suspended or reduced multiple routes to conduct precautionary inspections on its Boeing 787 aircraft and to adapt to longer flight paths necessitated by regional airspace closures.

Air India is set to resume some of its international flights in a matter of weeks after they were paused in the wake of the devastating crash.

The Air India airliner carrying 230 passengers and 12 crew members was on its way to the United Kingdom when it crashed into a building shortly after takeoff on June 12, killing all aboard, except for one survivor, and several people on the ground, according to authorities.
