As part of an initiative that will revamp Ohio's highway rest areas, the state's very first highway rest stop universal changing station has opened in Fayette County, between Columbus and Cincinnati.

Rest areas have been a part of the American travel experience for well over a century, with some of the first being stage coach stations, where both passengers and horses could stop to take a break.
