The Supreme Court will hear oral arguments on Wednesday in Louisiana v. Callais, a challenge to the state’s congressional map that could shape the fight over the Voting Rights Act. The court heard arguments over Louisiana’s addition of a second majority-Black congressional district last term but in June said it would hear a new round.
