Google Maps Now Offers Directions Based on Popular Landmarks
Google Maps is rolling out a handful of Gemini -powered Android and iOS features beginning this week. The biggest update is landmark-based navigation, which could make directions easier to follow by referencing well-known places along your route, like gas stations, restaurants, and buildings that are easy to spot from the street.

To download a map in Google Maps offline, open the Google Maps app on iOS or Android and tap your profile picture on the top right (you must be logged in to your Google account for this to work). In the menu that appears, tap Offline maps > Select Your Own Map.
Google says that in the coming days, the Live Lane Guidance feature will be made available to other vehicle models equipped with Android Automotive OS and the ADAS hardware.
As per a post on its official blog, Google says that AI-powered live lane guidance is coming to Google Maps. It will use the front-facing camera on the vehicle to see which lane you're currently in, and tell you to move over if you need to.
