Northern Irishman Rory McIlroy debuted a new haircut at the Genesis Scottish Open, attracting fans' attention in the days leading up to the event. As is often the case, the reigning Masters champion did not arrive at this hairstyle by accident.

Masters champion Rory McIlroy took another step toward emerging out of the doldrums with two big shots at the end of his round Saturday that led to a 4-under 66 and gave him a share of the lead with Chris Gotterup in the Scottish Open.

McIlroy has come close to winning since that Sunday at Augusta National, but a 4-under 66 on Saturday gave him a share of the lead with Chris Gotterup.
