The Milwaukee Brewers landed one of the first surprise picks of Day 1 of the MLB draft by taking high-school lefty Frank Cairone at No. 68 overall. Cairone was not listed on MLB Pipeline's top 250 draft prospects, though he just snuck onto Baseball America's top 200. Prep Baseball Report had Cairone as the No. 8 prep left-hander in the draft.
Jacob Morrison was a big part of that. Literally. Morrison measures up at 6-foot-8 and 245 pounds. And now, he's the newest Milwaukee Brewers pitcher. They chose the right-hander in the third round of the MLB Draft on Sunday night.
Taken 20th overall in the first round of the 2025 MLB Draft, Fischer was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers. “We are extremely proud of him and wish him the best of luck,” Wall head coach Jim Rochford said. “He is an extremely hard-working young man who has dedicated himself to reaching this level.”
