People took to the streets to honor civil rights leader John Lewis on the anniversary of his death – while also protesting the current administration.

Sarasota was one of 50 cities in Florida with over 400 hundred people in attendance protesting the Trump administration under the name "Good Trouble Lives On."

“Get in good trouble, necessary trouble, and redeem the soul of America,” Lewis said in 2020 while commemorating the 1965 voting rights marches from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama.

Protestors gathered outside the Washington County Courthouse Thursday afternoon as part of another national demonstration critical of President Donald Trump and his administration’s actions. An estimated 170 people attended the local nationwide day of action,
