Just days after winning Stage 1, green jersey holder Jasper Philipsen was forced to abandon the 2025 Tour de France after a dangerous crash during Stage 3.

Green jersey-wearer Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Deceuninck) is out of the Tour de France after crashing heavily at the intermediate sprint on stage 3 and appearing to injure his right shoulder.

Deceuninck had to withdraw from the Tour after a heavy crash in the third stage. In the run-up to the intermediate sprint, Philipsen crashed and was inspected at the side of the road with serious injuries.
