Agricultural industry leaders fear a push away from corn syrup could disrupt production of the U.S.’s largest crop.

Hundreds of chicken tenders fans, including some who camped overnight, welcomed the opening of Jacksonville's first Raising Cane's restaurant.

Coca-Cola produced in Mexico instead uses cane sugar and has become increasingly popular across the U.S. Similarly, the company makes a variety using cane sugar around passover, as many of the Jewish faith avoid products using high-fructose corn syrup during that time.

Normal is home to the newest location of a Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, and it is already seeing congested traffic. The fast-food restaurant, first announced in late 2023, held its grand opening on July 15.
