Epson’s sharpness settings are another strong point. I found the “Preset 3” setting to provide the best balance, but a friend who visited preferred the slightly more processed look of “Preset 4.” Even when upscaling HD content, the QB1000 performed well. Watching Tron: Legacy felt close to native 4K, with clear details and textures.

Epson, you are shooting yourself in the foot - almost every shootout besides MWAVE doesn't use Dynamic mode -- that's a big hit on your potential reception at these events.
